Worship Service for the Week of March 29th, 2026
Scripture Texts: TBD
Sermon: The Triumphal Entry
The Triumphal Entry of Jesus is laden with Old Testament types and shadows that identify Him as the prophesied Messiah, King, and sacrificial Lamb, moving from public adoration toward his imminent Passion. These are the messages that Paul said are “dim reflections of reality” in I Cor 13. On Palm Sunday, Michael Zeitner invites us into a time of deep reflection as we prepare for Good Friday’s events and the Easter celebration. It marks the beginning of a week where the focus shifts from celebration to a solemn remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and the gift of salvation.

What is your favorite parable of Jesus?
- The Good Samaritan
- The Hidden Treasure
- The Prodigal Son
- The Sower
- The Talents
- The Unforgiving Servant
Small Group Reflection Questions:
- The religious leaders in Jesus’ day knew the Scriptures. They memorized the prophecies. They taught the law. They were the experts in “looking for signs.” And yet, when the fulfillment of all those signs stood right in front of them—Jesus—they missed Him. Worse, they rejected Him. Why?
- How can you adjust your expectations to welcome Jesus not just as a problem-solver but as the King of your heart, who offers something far greater than temporary solutions?
- Jesus's humble entry on a donkey contradicts our human desire for grandeur and power. How does this act of humility challenge you to rethink your values and priorities?
- Consider a time when God's plans didn't align with your desires. How did this experience deepen your understanding of His character and draw you closer to Him?
